AIYIMA A07 Premium review: 300 W per channel at a stated 10% THD+N

What the 300 W rating actually says

AIYIMA’s product page rates the A07 Premium at 300 W × 2 into a 4 Ω load at 10% THD+N. All parts of that line matter. It is a maker maximum for two channels, tied to a four-ohm load and a relatively high distortion condition. It is not published as a continuous, low-distortion output figure.

The official manual adds a power table with separate rated and maximum columns for 4 Ω and 8 Ω speakers across several DC supplies. That is useful because it makes the power source and speaker load explicit. It also prevents the 300 W number from being treated as an unconditional property of the amplifier.

AIYIMA separately lists 0.05% THD+N in the parameter block. No output level, load, frequency or measurement bandwidth accompanies that number. It therefore describes a different, unstated condition and cannot be joined to the maximum claim to create a 300 W at 0.05% specification.

Is the 300 W figure usable for matching speakers?

Not on its own. The manual tells buyers to match the adapter and speaker load against its table, while the product page attaches 10% THD+N to the maximum. Those are the official boundaries. This review has not added a cleaner output number because AIYIMA does not publish one for the selected supply at a stated distortion threshold.

Inputs, outputs and system fit

The signal path is narrow by design. AIYIMA lists one stereo RCA input for a phone, tablet, computer, television, MP3 player or other source with an appropriate analogue output. There is no Bluetooth receiver and no USB, optical, coaxial or balanced input in the published specification.

Speaker output is through separate left and right terminals. The manual also identifies a 3.5 mm PRE output, intended to feed the audio input of another amplifier. Calling that socket a headphone output would be unsafe: the same manual’s panel description uses the phrase “headphone interface” for its physical format, but its connection steps explicitly describe pre-amplifier use.

The page identifies a TPA3255 amplifier chipset and two NE5532 op-amps. AIYIMA lists OPA2604, OPA2134, LM4562 and JRC5532 as replacements. That is a published compatibility list, not evidence that any option sounds better or remains stable in every operating condition.

The power supply is part of the purchase

The reviewed store variant is With No Power Supply at $60.99. It is not a complete powered system in the box. AIYIMA’s other variants pair the amplifier with either a 32 V 5 A or 48 V 5 A adapter, with region-specific plugs and higher listed prices.

The working range is DC 24–48 V, and the manual’s table includes several voltage, current and speaker-load combinations. More supply voltage or current does not erase the published operating limits, and the maker does not state that every third-party adapter inside that voltage range is equivalent.

Those figures describe a compact desktop chassis. They do not establish heat, noise or sustained-output behaviour, none of which has been measured for this review.

Where the official documentation stops

The clearest unresolved line is input sensitivity. The product page prints “Sensitivity: 82db”, which is not a usable input-voltage specification. The field remains TODO: verify rather than being converted into volts by guess.

The 103 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 20 Hz–20 kHz response are also published without measurement conditions. They can be reported as maker parameters, but not used to infer performance with a particular source, supply, speaker or listening level.
